Frequently Asked Questions
How do you compare to the competition?
Our push-to-talk is fast and intentionally lightweight, and far faster and more accurate than traditional Apple dictation. At the moment it is slightly less accurate than a few leading PTT services, but we are working on improving this metric. When PTT is running, you can see your words streaming as you speak, unlike competitors. Emra transcription runs independently of other apps, so you can use it even when you are not in meetings.
Do you sell or access my data?
No, we do not sell your data. Emra Voice uses modern AI models to create summaries and other features based on the data you provide, but the data stays private to your account.
What does Emra Voice cost?
Emra Voice launches with 20 hours of transcription each month for $30. If you want more time, a top-up plan adds 10 hours for $15 whenever you need it.
What languages does Emra support?
Today we support English. Multi-language support is in progress, and we will share updates as new languages roll out.
What platforms do you support?
We currently support macOS and Windows. Linux, iOS, and Android are coming in future months.
Why don't you have X feature?
Emra Voice is in early access and we are building quickly. Share requests and feedback in Emra or in our Discord so we can prioritize what matters most.
How does Emra fit into my daily workflow?
Use push-to-talk to capture quick thoughts without leaving your current app. Then review transcripts and summaries at the end of the day to collect decisions, action items, and follow-ups.
Does Emra work while I am not in meetings?
Yes. Emra runs independently, so you can record notes, brainstorm, or draft messages at any time without being in a call.
How do I get support or share feedback?
Reach out directly from the app, email support@emra.app, or drop into the Emra Discord. We read every suggestion and use them to guide the roadmap.
